Earlier I shared Arthur’s study of Albrecht Durer’s drawing. Here is a progression of his meticulous study. Not only did Arthur build volume and show great understanding of drawing drapery, he also used watercolor to add his own twist and a touch of subtle color to his artwork.

Our 5-10 years old class meets every Saturday and kids already show tremendous growth and potential. Recently they discovered new media of scratchboard and loved it immediately. 5-year-old Alex improved her understanding of symmetry and learned how to create unique ornaments and patterns on butterflies and turtles.

Fall could be a season of nature or a season in life. This print is one of the first linocuts that I created in Ukraine. Since then I’ve been hooked on printmaking.

My 5 to 10 year old class painted portraits of their friends. Hicliff was inspired by Picasso’s blue period paintings when he portrayed his friend Omar. Kids learned about symmetry and how to use color to portray emotion.

It was a blast painting this Binghamton boat with my students this summer. This boat is a part of Edgewater history. Everyone painted so much better outdoors. It must be the fresh air.

One of the most liberating things for artists is to try Pointillism. After a short demonstration students enjoyed a different approach to mixing color. Max took full advantage of optical color mixing by painting this luminous watercolor landscape.
My 6 year old student Dunya painted herself as a dancer. Kids enjoyed learning about proportions and painted themselves in their favorite profession.
